So I have been meaning to post his because a little good news goes a long way for the way one feels about life. You hear all around you about " horrible" adjustable rate mortgages.......well our rate just adjusted and all I have to say is WONDERFUL. We had a 3/1 arm based on some London bank rate and now without refinancing, paying closing cost, or seeing just how little our house is worth we have a wonderful 4.3% interest rate and a couple hundred dollars off our mortgage!!! YAAAAA for us.
When we moved out of our house and rented it out we pretty much new we would loose a lot of money and it has been a rough year but now to know that the amount we are short each month will be drastically less is such a comforting way to start the new year. We are so very happy with our ward, our neighborhood, and just generally the area that we are in right now. The thought of having to make a change because of a crappy market and a house in the desert that wont sell was more than Jeremiah and I could handle. So here we are and here we will stay for at least the next year. Here is to praying that our renters want to stay in our house in the desert.
Maybe 2009 won't be as horrible as 2008:)
